Tuesday night and Face to Face at the Rickshaw Wednesday night was awesome...I thought it was a great week for music in Vancouver! I suppose it's all about what you are into.

I play in a band. We are really good and have played with many great (and famous) bands. I'm bored of the circuit and I keep getting offers from flakes at labels who never follow through on their promises. I'm beginning to just say fuck it or move to another city. Vancouver is a black hole for music. It's sad because it's my passion and I can't imagine my life without it.

don't give up. theres more to it than that. if you actually have a good band, thats like gold. if you move, you may never have that again, no matter how good you are as a single musician. Your band may have to deal with ups and downs of crappy promoters, but your fans will care if you throw in the towel. it's harder to get back than you think.

It's not dead yet, but the bookings at the bilt have declined to nothing interesting, presumably because they dont want the noise around the condos and social housing of a large crowd. maybe its because the hipsters left main for "the east village", but now, what - its the cobalt that has the good shows??
