Happy Now

I am dating this girl that speaks fluent French but but very little English. Her English is better than my French though. So its incredibly difficult sometimes to understand what she's saying but whatever she says is really sexy and cute. We never argue. She basically told me it was pointless to fight and argue about little things and to just be happy with our lives. Its the first time a woman hasn't looked at me as a cash register or as a means to an end. I have never dated a local woman that wasn't crazy or really insecure. I am used to getting yelled at and being manipulated by tears to not do things I want to do. Yesterday I told her I was going to watch the football game with the guys and she was totally cool with it. Gave her a chance to read a book she wanted and to talk wit her friends in France on Skype. So I have decided to learn French because I love this girl.
Every man from Vancouver should date a woman from Europe and it will change your entire view of dating.

I'm a woman and i agree with this. All my friends in vancouver are totally unrealistic about what me, and relationships should be like. It's unreal! they want mr perfect. I have a partner and i can tell you he had his faults when i met him. I thought, "could i live with this forever"? then i looked at my faults as well. After 4 years together we have both changed just a but to compliment each other. and the main thing is. We are considerate to one another and communicate. Thats #1! 100% openness. Unfortunately, most woman here aren't like that. Makes me sad.
Don't We Know You?

Are you the guy who posted a few weeks ago about the sexy co-worker from France who secretly wanted to date you? So... I guess it worked out between you two.
Ever date women from Quebec? I've always wondered if there's a difference between women from France and Quebec. Same sexy accent I suppose.
Yep...

I remember when the dollhouse-fantasy insecurity trip became too much for me: she was yet again criticizing how I dressed, and I asked why she cared so much, and the answer, if it had to do with my feelings, how I felt, and, if so, how I really did not feel any better in a suit/tie than in torn jeans and t-shirts. The answer? It had nothing to do with me: it had to do 100% with what _strangers_ on the street thought of her, based on what I was wearing!
I'm sure all women have standards but, blech.

I did date a woman from Europe once and now I can't seem to pull the trigger here because I'm not a big fan of the local insecure and aloof mindset as it is complete turnoff.
Congrats.
It's nice..

.. that you found love, but do you really have to take a dump on all the ladies you've previously dated? "I have never dated a local woman that wasn't crazy or really insecure." So all local women are crazy or insecure? Come on now... grow up.

as I would be totally cool with my guy hanging with his guy friends -it gives me time to myself.
Also, I have absolutely never cared about whether a guy is employed or not, as long as he pays for himself it is all good.
