The Reason I'm Leaving

The reason that I'm leaving Vancouver isn't because of the real estate market, dating scene or fact that everything just keeps on getting more expensive and everyone is acting like jerks. It's because I have been here my entire adult life and my parents don't have much longer to live. They cannot afford to move here and I want to spend some time with them while I can.

Well, that's just lame. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

I don't know how much longer my parents are going to be around either, so I'm staying in Vancouver while they're still alive.

But after they're gone, so am I.

Nice to see another person who understand the value of family.

I grew up in Kelowna and my parents are now 82 and 86. I drive there most long weekends and on my vacation time March through October. They are our base in life. They won't be here indefinitely. It's essential to see them as much as I can. Good for us that do this:)
