When

When you don't get STD and blood tested regularly (around every three years and more often with hard drugs), you are putting me at risk of STD's and are unconcerned about mine and your own sexual health, especially when you encourage sex without a condom. Furthermore, your expectations that my STD and blood results are a reflection and confirmation of your own is utter bullshit and displays less than a high school level of knowledge on sexual health. I can't see someone who disregards their own and my health to this degree which I work at to take care of, by getting tested regularly. STD's, HIV and Hep c are OK and are manageable, but I want to do what I can to keep my health bill as it is and not have more health risks. And even if I do have anything, the sooner I find out, the better. You'e putting all the responsibility on me and asking for me to take risks where i am just asking for you to be aware of what you health status is. And you just don't care, you're more pissed off about me bitching than listening what i am complaining about. I don't get to have that right, so this is the last straw.

reality check

STD's, HIV and Hep C are ok and manageable? I sure hope this post is fake. NO they're not OK.

Certain STD's (chlamydia) can cause infertility, and syphilis (which is on the rise again) causes serious long-term health problems such as arthritis, brain damage, and blindness.

Herpes is extremely uncomfortable, often very painful and always inconvenient to those who've contracted it.

Hep C causes irreparable liver damage. HIV can cause a whole host of very serious life threatening health problems and you will be taking medication FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE.

How can you think that any of this is okay? This guy is being reckless with your health and he's being reckless WITH YOUR LIFE. Please dump him! Risking your health is not worth a few minutes of pleasure with this jerk.

I am amazed...

That a guy like this (I presume it's a guy) can get laid, but I haven't had sex in seven years. Then I don't actually talk to women, so there is that...

Every 3 years??

Every 3 years?? If you are single and having sex with multiple people, you need to get tested REGULARLY. If you are having sex with a new person every few weeks or months, you need to get tested between each partner, even if you aren't showing symptoms of anything. That is what responsible adults do--and discuss. If you can't talk about it or make sure they're tested first (drinking one night stands are a reality, I guess)- at least keep yourSELF up to date--that way if you do contract something, you know exactly who gave it to you and how many people you are responsible for informing or tearing a new asshole.
If someone gives you grief about being tested, just move on. They're either hiding something and had no intention of telling you, or they have no respect and patience to wait a day to have sex. Either way, in 2016, not being smart about that is gross and negligent and asking for a a guaranteed disease. Everyone and their dog is a petri dish these days.
