Seriously. Clearly this website has enough money even after the leak that they can now shove their s*** in our faces right in the middle of our Sunday night movie. I'm so sick and tired of having the entire concept of cheating on one's spouse be something that we're all supposed to be perfectly okay with! Why bother getting married if you really think it's fine to cheat? If you feel that way then just DON'T get married! This website is just another example of the total lack of respect that we're being encouraged to display for each other. I'm not a prude but when ads for sex aids and adultery are being broadcast at hours when young kids are watching and on mainstream channels I feel that they've gone too far and I'm disgusted! What the hell is next? Ads for sex slaves or doms next to ads for Wendy's ? WTF???

Think of it as chocolate for men

It's bad for you, it has no value, it distracts from other things that are more important, it costs money, and has health negatives.

But you like chocolate because it is chocolate.

Right?

Chocolate doesn't destroy lives. Unless of course you're someone who literally eats nothing but. On the other hand, that website actively encourages married people to cheat on their spouse. Imagine a commercial for chocolate that tells people to ignore all the risks of eating too much of it and just "indulge" yourself. Imagine a commercial telling people to ignore the clear harm involved with excessive drinking. Imagine telling your children that it's perfectly okay to drink and drive because it's what you FEEL like doing. What harm could possibly come from that? Get a grip bozo. REAL people get hurt. REAL children are involved. And if you think it's just men doing it, think again!!! Perhaps if it was you on the receiving end you may have a different perspective, but I have a feeling that you're too young to comprehend the full consequences.

I agree. People who use that and think it is a-okay need to be sent out to a black hole in space for a scientific experiment to see what a black hole does. Since when is lying to someone in marriage and expecting it to not be harmful or disrespectful something for people to chill and be okay with? Just don't get married. Cheaters who use that website are fuckin' dumb trash. I'd dump/divorce them in a second if I ever got married to a prick who used that site. My whole image of them being someone I love would be out the window so fuckin' fast. ;) Either respect me and love me honestly or gtfo. I don't have time for man hoes.

When Anonymous did go after the site it was revealed that it was 90 per cent men on it. So really you are mad at a site where the guys wanna cheat and they literally cannot meet anyone on it. But the ad air times are a bit odd. Maybe contact Shaw if you have a problem with that. But that would take effort, easier to point fingers instead.

That leaves 10% women, and 99% of them really, really, like to eat chocolate

It's the intention that counts. These people had the intention to cheat... whether they managed to do it or not is irrelevant.

I hate marriage

But....I agree with you OP, that site is disgusting. Complain to the network that is accepting it's sponsorship.

It's not Madison, it's marriage.
Marriage is a coercive form of bondage game, taught by the parish priest to the dutiful parishioners. Or by the wise Confucian, etc. etc. Marriage is learned behaviour that fails half of the time, and not because of websites like Ashley Madison.
The nuclear family is an institution. If people like living in a funny sort of mental health morality play, involving repression of desire, etc. then good for them. But most don't, and most would be happier if we had community institutions to raise children. This would in three generations end the class divisions between rich and poor, especially the nutritional differences.

Oh...right...who wants that? Not the rich! Keep aping the nobility, after all, you've got to produce an heir for your vast tracts of land, right?
