This World AIDS Day, I really wish I could afford to go on prep.

Instead, I'm putting off getting tested because I'm afraid I might already be HIV+. I know it would be better to find out and start treatment, but as long as I don't get tested, I can continue to hope I'm still negative.

He wouldn't go because he was scared to find out. Please do yourself a favour and GO. Whether you have it or not, HIV is not a death sentence these days. You may have to have a healthier lifestyle but so what. You're being completely irresponsible and totally not respecting yourself the longer you wait. You'll probably go in, find out you don't have it and be upset with yourself that you sat around worrying for so long. Be strong, you can do this. Don't put it off any longer. Go today.

If you are HIV, it's ok, your life will continue. it's not easy from an emotional place due to the stigma, but that's all it is is stigma. There's more too it, a thought process and taking care of your self, and support groups are a good place to find understanding, but life as you now it will not end. you are still you. there are more people than you know with living fine lives with HIV, there can be alot of perspectives. HIV can happen to anyone, and it does not cut you apart.

I hope you're not having sex. Because if you aren't responsible enough to be tested, you arent responsible enough to be sexually active.

Being tested is not something to avoid.
