Sidestreets

As a pedestrian I'm terrified of what drivers are going to do at virtually any intersection off of the main thoroughfare and feel like I'm taking y life in my hands just trying to cross the street. They never use any indicators, drive through stop signs, stop when there's none, and pull U-turns unpredictably at the drop of a hat....

You may want to seek psychologically help for your phobia. Sounds debilitating and pretty serious.

Cyclists, I expect that from - they don't care, although could sustain more damage personally by falling off their bike if they hit you.

As a driver and a cyclist and a pedestrian, I also worry about intersections. In my car I'm afraid to make a move in case the pedestrian decides to ignore the lights and signs or any actual rights of way rules and walk out in front of me in which case it will be my fault if they get hurt. As a cyclist I worry that a pedestrian may ignore everything noted above and step out in front of me in which case it would be my fault if they get hurt. As all 3 I worry that a car may ignore the lights and choose to run one and slam into me, in which case it won't matter who was in the right since someone is going to get hurt. Isn't it just about time that everyone acknowledges that, regardless of what form of transportation you choose, you are responsible to be responsible???

Vancouver has the most braindead idiotic assholes for drivers I've ever seen. And I've driven in the so-called third world, driven in left and right hand countries and NOWHERE is it this bad. Pathetic.

Hanoi is particularly scary. Vancouver is worse.
