Just saw a story on the CBC about all the businesses closing along the White Rock waterfront.

And guess what....no comments allowed. Not sure who would be offended by people voicing their opinions on the subject?

Do you ever read the comments on news sites? It is mostly a collection of insults and name calling. It makes me fear for humanity. CBC decided there was nothing to gain by allowing this trash on their site.

I've read some posts on that website too and I've stopped doing so. The majority of them seem to be written by seriously disturbed individuals and yes, it was trash!

One of the main reasons CBC axed comments was the blatant, hateful racism. They just decided it wasn't worth spending money on a moderator. There are lots of other places to voice your opinion.
