I think what he's saying is that he likes a natural look, and you're obviously achieving that. If you are now or are planning to be sleeping with him, chances are he's going to be seeing you without makeup. Be proud of you, including the scars, as they are part of you and your history. Likely they have made you stronger, whether you know that or not.
