Purity?

People never stop shitting on my choices. If I drink a red bull, someone will say "you shouldn't drink that". If I eat fast food, someone will say "you shouldn't eat fast food". I haven't done drugs in years, but did for a concert last year and a so called friend said "you're nothing but a drug addict". Not once in the years of sobriety did they ever say anything. Recently, I started drinking alcohol. I am a middle aged person. And what have people said? "You shouldn't drink" "Why drink?" "You don't drink!" and basically shamed me in to feeling like crap about that.
What life of purity are people going for when they make non stop comments like this? No one lives this life of purity that they constantly try to put on me.

Some people are pathetic and wait for any instance to correct someone else. They get to tell you what you are doing wrong and they get to feel good about it. Which then provides them with a get out of jail free card if you call them on it by saying "I'm just trying to help you"

You shouldn't whine about things you can't change.

People always have to stick their opinions in when they aren't called for.
Maybe you have bad friends

Alternatively, maybe they are noticing something you are not, and are giving you heartfelt concern.
It's possible. Not everyone wants to drag you down. Sometimes people say stuff out of love.

Dude. Been there. Y'know what I do? I just don't care what others think of me. I'm me and you're you. If others don't like it then they can fuck off. They aren't people you want around anyways.
