Kind of selfish and not very nice isn't that bad. Kind of selfish, is way better than totally selfish. Just being nice instead of very nice , is way better than just being plain evil. I mean, there was only one Jesus.

This happened to me too. Suddenly I started to see that the man I fell in love with was no longer the person he had become. Selfish, angry, jealous, entitled and not the least bit generous. Unfotunately, he continued to show his true colors and I left because it became very apparent that we had very different core values. Sad stuff. :(

A couple of people have called me selfish. Most of my friends were quite surprised to hear this because that was not their experience of me.
It seems like selfish see this same trait in anyone who won't follow their every command. Heck, it must feel diminishing to order someone around only to have them ignore your authority.
Anyways, a relationship involves negotiation and sometimes people aren't well matched, feel resentful and need to break up.
