Confessions from a male

I'm a male and it pisses me off how these creepy guys at the gym give us a bad name. It's like they have nothing better to do but blatantly stare at women while their working out and harass them. What exactly are you cretins, losers and morons trying to gain out of making women feel that uncomfortable? What's in it for you? You don't own the fucking gym so mind your own business and give the ladies their space. To the women that deal with these douche-canoes, do not take any bullshit. Give them RBF(Resting bitch face) or report these assholes to the front desk. The more you speak up, the better is it. Time to weed out the dirty scum.

I'm with ya pal, but this shit doesn't just happen at the gym unfortunately. Guys are creeps all over the place. Guys, stop being creeps. Signed, a guy.

Wrong title.

Shouldn't the title to this be "Confessions from the out of shape beta male guy at the gym, who's not getting the attention the alphas in good shape are getting"?

Seriously, you have never had any women checking you out at the gym?

I agree, but

In 30+ years of working out, I have never seen creepy male behaviour. Possibly because I went to Spartacus (super chill) and then to Vancouver fitness centres (super duper chill).

That doesn't mean you're wrong and yeah, it is up to men to influence other men to act right. We're all potential influencers.

Well

I would maybe make a conscious effort to give RBF but seeing as how it's my natural face (hence resting) I'm probably not going to go out of my way to do it. I think what you mean is give a dirty look, not be myself.

Ugh

the muscle-heads were too busy checking themselves out in the mirrors to be creepin' out the ladies.

regular gym guy here, several time a week, for decades, but I have never actually seen gym harassment.

It happens all the time

In the gym where people go to exercise, it can be very annoying to have someone leering at you while you're just trying to do you own thing. I happen to be large breasted, and I can't tell you how much it takes for me sometimes to simply pretend that I don't notice the guys staring at me. I'm not intimidated but it makes me self conscious and adds a level of stress to what should just be my own time working on my own fitness. Guys that try to talk to women, particularly the ones who think they have the right to offer their opinion about her appearance, be it good or bad, really need to try to put themselves in her place before they leer, make a remark, or otherwise interfere with her workout.
