Triggered 2.0

Anyone else getting triggered by the absurdity of all this triggering? How are these people going to function as adults? They seem kind of crazy.

They Aren't

Remember elementary school? Remember the kids who would tattle to teacher because they had no social skills? They're the same people who get "triggered" and require an authority figure to make a "safe space" for them. The end goal is to advance these people in corporate/public life, as a pretext for creating an authoritarian, parental bureaucracy that has jurisdiction over every aspect of human life.

The end goal is to _eliminate_ what was considered an "adult" up until the mid 80s/90s. Those creatures are "oppressive"---instead, we need perpetual infancy with a bureaucracy of well-intentioned thought police to keep us in line.

I don't think that even Orwell, in 1984, had any sense it would get this bad.

the new world order - where political correctness, Gender politics, liberalism, social justice movements, appropriations of any sort... and just general hyperdramatic-oversensitivity towards anything that moves is the new norm!!

I fucking hate this new world order, and you can all go fuk yerselves.

I am getting to a point in my life where I want people like you to get PTSD so you know what it's like to be the people you insist on shitting on. Have the years of sexual abuse, have being raped multiple times, have being held against your will, have being assaulted by strangers. Have all of it. Surely you deserve it more than I do.

This is what I am getting at about infantile. You think people "deserve" things rather than that a cruel, impersonal fate doles out whatever it is that people get. Dessert is given to children by parents; in real life, adults get what they deserve.

Words of advice: triggers are result of traumas: judge not others who have suffered excruciating pains, for they have lived in painful existence for many years ... if you theoretically could walk their path in exact gender and exactness and sameness of number and severity of suffering experiences, then feel free to judge and ridicule their behaviour in tears. I guarantee you OP, sodomy or rape or sexual abuse of any kind is destructive to all humans who experience it, at the core soul and existence level, and may take many years or lifetime(s) to heal fully. I understand this social medium is for posting all opinions freely, so i appreciate your opinion OP. Be kind, Be well, Be sound, Pray Tell

Attempts to be sensitive

Political correctness is nothing more than an attempt to avoid unnecessary offence, which tends to obfuscate whatever point you were trying to make. Giving trigger warnings seems goofy to you, but for people who need it, they need it.

Is it childish? No more childish than putting guard rails on bridges. You don't "need it"

not judging others, if we can do, will do wonders for me and you, for if we had gone thru the painful experiences of others, we too would understand and avoid the hurtful sting of judgmental fodders ...

ASS-BACKWARDS

May 23, 2017 at 9:42am

the problem isn't that some of us have PTSD and have to deal with shit that sets us off while we try to recover, it's every asshole who takes the terminology we try to use to talk about our lives and co-opts it to talk about every damn little thing that upsets them. If you don't have PTSD, you don't get triggered. Fuck off. if you don't have chronic illness, you don't have or run out of spoons. Also fuck off. What worries me is this giant bunch of babies who all want to describe themselves as sick people. g damn, I promise, if I could describe myself as a healthy person, I would!!!
So please don't hate on the sick. Hate on the adult babies who co-opt our terminology to try to get out of having to do hard things or "adulting".
