Nobody thinks I'm weird for being all by myself with no friends. And nobody thinks I'm weird for walking up to a group of people and striking up a conversation with them.

Yes, wait a while and you'll find out that people WILL find you creepy for trying to start a conversation with a total stranger- because most people who do this tend to be homeless and/ or an addict and they want something from you. This is a sad, sad city with no soul.
