Why do you care Mr. Grumpypants? Are you a municipal by-law enforcer somehow unable to directly address the situation?

Yeah!

Get run down by someone biking on the sidewalk and tell me how grumpy you are.

Off bike routes. And also, bike locks are on sidewalks in case you didn't know.

It's a full-blown epidemic, if you haven't noticed.

Fly up one way streets go in the opposite direction of traffic and generally be the summer dope cyclists that give other decent folk a bad name.

@ OP So, what I see, friends, all the time, is not cyclists all riding on the sidewalk and ignoring the traffic laws, but more an entitlement by people to comment that "all" cyclists need to "get a life" and "obey the rules before you get any rights" and all that. I tend to respond, reasonably enough, that a certain portion of cyclists should not represent ALL cyclists. A person driving through a stop sign does not prompt people to say that all motorists should have their licenses taken away. And so the righteousness of people painting all cyclists with one brush is not persuasive to me as a cyclist. If you'd like to talk about how we could possibly encourage a better situation between bike and pedestrians and cars, I am all ears, and mostly I think it has to do with infrastructure and having separation between the different ways of moving. Which would suggest, OP, by implication, that you are fully in support of separated bike lanes so that cyclist feel encouraged not to be on the sidewalks (since they are often avoiding what seems like a dangerous roadway).

But Gregor says bikes have right of way everywhere. Why do old and cripple people need to park close to the hospital entrance when He can get rid of parking for the biker nazi's? Record amounts of vehicles being sold every year in Vancouver and our silly mayor thinks bikes are the wave of the future.
