You are exactly right my friend. All clubs/meetup groups/ night school courses etc, are just chock-a-block full of singles wanting to connect! Only one catch... if you happen to be a straight female looking for a straight male...., well let's just say I hope you genuinely enjoy the class/group/club because what who
you're likely to be meeting are lots and lots of other straight women doing exactly the same thing. Not that there's anything wrong with that (lol) but just saying...,

and there are rarely any single men. Lots of females joining like me with high hopes but nothing ever happens.

You will develop interests and enthusiasm for whatever your hobby is.. therefore if you meet someone suitable, they will share your interest, giving you something to talk about..

it also gives you something to do and be passionate about, making you more interesting in general, and to potential partners..

There's plenty of guys that want to get out and join a hobby group. I'm one of them. I've got high hopes for scuba diving and hiking. You'd never get it out of me in person, but I'd want nothing more than to meet someone special now that I'm 25- the casual/bar scene has really worn me out, and I'm tired of it.
