Second, maybe I'm crazy, but aren't there lots of "cute, smart, outgoing, caring, sweet" gay women out there? And if you're looking for someone who presents as very feminine, I'm sure they're out there too. Are you the only lipstick lesbian in Vancouver? Again, I'm thinking its the unavailability that's so enticing.
Third, I'll tell you why you see so many men treat these "perfect women" as other than gold. Many women get bored or disgusted by men who are too nice or who put them on a pedestal. Its an old joke by now that assholes have success with women because its considered exciting. I've heard women say that they date these kinds of guys because, "he keeps me on my toes."
