Euthanasia

Euthanasia should be legal. If we as human beings have the right to put an injured or a terminally sick cat or dog or horse out of their misery, why can we not put a fellow person rotting of brain and bone cancer out of theirs? In this instance, that rotting person is my mother. She lives in a schizophrenic waking dream with the inability to walk... Her body and mind are disintegrating with each passing hour, yet she is being forced to live and wither in agony and hallucination... A life sentence of torture for a 55-year old woman whose only crime was being the definition of love and care. I cannot help but feel like the worst son in the world for only being able to watch.
