So I was seeing someone for a few weeks. He was really communicative, and we hung out a bunch of times, and it felt like we had chemistry though we were both totally awkward about it. Anyways. After I'd developed a sincere crush, he said he wasn't ready for a relationship. His reasons were fair, and I want to be respectful, but I don't really know how or if to quash the feelings that started developing if we're going to keep hanging out.

Don't hang out with this person then. Done. Next time, don't hang out for a few weeks. After hanging out twice, it's a date or not, cuts through the bs quicker.

Don't go there
If he is telling you he doesn't want a relationship now I would believe him. And if you are into him and would like more probably best for your heart to move on. Don't spend another minute with him!

Save yourself the heartache. He's already decided that you're not the one for him.. Best advice is to cut it off quick for your own sake.
