Hooked up Homeless
posted September 17th, 2012 at 7:08 PM
Today I saw homeless gentleman sitting on a busy sidewalk chatting away on his cell phone. Since I see him on a regular basis I sometimes leave him some spare change or buy him a snack or cool drink on hot days. After witnessing this I don't feel any guilt or further obligation to contribute any more of my savings. Compassion aside.

when you give money to homeless people they laugh behind your back.

That asshole can afford like $20 a month for his phone? Why does he sleep on the street? Surely he could find a nice place for that amount of money. $20 a month for some human contact? Fuck it, I wish he was spending it all on drugs, that would make me feel so much better!

Your a fool. There are church groups that hand out old refurbished cel phones to homeless ppl. Because you saw that man enjoying a simple benefit of western civilization, you raise your nose and get put off. I bet you he cherishes that phone. I bet you have a box full of discarded phones and chargers. Keep your change, he doesn't need your 44 cents once a year. Honestly you are the one in need of Change. Goof

sometimes people who are on the street asking for change are not homeless they have "homes" or live in shelters. the amount for welfare is paltry and they need to ask for change to survive. everybody has the right to chose what they view as a luxury so you have made your choice. that's fair.

Whatever the reason, glad to hear that you are no longer supporting these individuals that litter our streets.
