I have lived in Vancouver for a couple of years and have discovered I don't understand men in this town. When our paths cross there is usually eye contact, smiles and maybe a bit of conversation. Sometimes there is contact information exchanged with talk about future plans and then nothing. I do not understand this. I have lived in a couple of different cities and never have I come across this lack of follow through. Is it just the feeling that no effort is required or is it just general laziness?

Vancouver females are just as bad. This city is horrible for meeting people.

I hear you. Heaven forbid I start conversation in a line up when shopping. A person would think my 3rd eye winked at them as my tail slapped their bottom with the shocked look that crosses the face.

welcome to Vancouver and the reality of the men here.
no back-bone , no balls.indecisive.insecure, timid.
they flirt.though at times poorly but they try .and never follow through.
maybe it because they have been so jadded by the women here
.i dunno.
i swear this city is messed up. it is sad.
i just don't want to tell a guy how to be a guy.and grow some. otherwise YOU are missing out.

So if we're all having trouble mixing with the opposite gender in this city, does that mean we're all unknowingly giving each other a hard time?

jesus people u all need to grow some balls, if u see someone u like go fucking talk to them and if their shy or lazy or whatever then fuck em, move on! stop coming onto confessions and complaining about it, maybe u should change something in yourself, self confidence? positivity?

I agree. I've lived in a couple of other cities, and I've never had such a hard time meeting men. :(

We are here!! Were everywhere!! I'm a new guy to the city and have to agree it is extremely hard meeting women. The total lack of interest is astounding. I'm not a lazy/spoiled vancouver male. I enjoy the chase and putting in the effort; that's part of the fun in meeting someone new, but please give us SOMETHING any little morsel to let us know there is the slightest bit of interest. Why cant we all just leave the games and pettiness at the door (both women and men) and be open for once to the possibility of flirting, romance, and even love?
