It wasn't the helmet that made you glance back
I saw you in the Pacific Centre as you were passing by the Apple store. You obviously noticed me too as we both turned our heads after we passed each other. You were strutting in...

I'm shy & awkward but even more-so when he's like that with me. Anyway, he's divorced & has 2 young kids(I don't) & that made me hold back at first & hesitate. I've never been involved with someone with kids(though at my age I guess that's pretty common). It shouldn't have held me back like that, I'm actually good with kids. But I hesitated & now he has a girlfriend as well, while I'm left alone with nothing(I know, my own doing)...but I still feel the same.

There will be others
I understand, ...it hearts. Move on - next time when you feel the same, express it. He has a girl friend now.
The main thing is to get over this idea that you are "left alone with nothing"!! You need to change your perception of yourself first, getting over him is next and will take a while, but there is always tomorrow.

If
There is a next time. Hesitate & life will just pass you by. Stop trying to be sure-footed with each step. Take a leap of faith once in a while, don't always look before you leap/think before you speak. Trust your intuition & go with it. No holdin back next time. The only thing holding you back is you.

I guess it's not so bad
I still get to see & talk with him from time to time at work. It's nice just to hear his voice. I know my limits. I can hold back & just try to be casual. It's all good.
