I am glad that I was a child in the 70s where you could leave your bike in front of the store and didn't have to lock it up-it would be there when you got back. To be a teen in the 80s - parties in the park, riding around in hot rods and rockin' out to hair bands and discovering "metal up your ass"....discovering adulthood in the 90s with lots of beer, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden as a soundtrack - all before we got buried in cell phones, IPads and the like - I guess when people had no choice but to really connect. Don't get me wrong, I am not completely against technology - I am just saying that I feel lucky to know what it was like before it all came down to this.

True
But, now comes the grey hair.

I wouldn't trade it for anything. Well, I did miss out on rainbow parties - God, I would like to have experienced those. Good on you, whoever thought up that one and got all those young women to buy into that. He's probably the head of a ponzi scheme.

I agree. Those were amazing times. I lived in Edmonton when Gretzky played for the Oilers - the vibe was totally different. Music has never been the same since the 80's though. Thx for the cool post. :)

wow, that's exactly what it was like for me too! I miss the 70's and 80's especially. Couldn't agree with you more.

Completely agree. I had great times, lots of fun, and connections that still endure. I feel a bit bad that my kids won't have the same good times; too much government regulations on everything, cameras to catch everything everywhere, taught that everyone cannot be trusted because everyone's a pedophile, political correctness gone insane. Sad.
