I'm sick and tired of reading all these adolescent heart sick breakup 'confessions', one after the other after the other after the other... and aren't actually confessions at all - 'you broke my heart and now i'll never be the same, we were so good together... bla bla bla' - Oh for fuck sake will you children take your saccharine lovelorn trite back to the playground and stop filling the Confession pages with this garbage.

I don't think that is adolescent. It speaks to manly resolve. Back in the day, lovesick people would throw themselves into rivers, etc. with far more frequency. Today people are very sedate, and if they complain here, well, that's not so bad. Lovesickness is a real disorder, but it is not acknowledged because it goes against the feminist eugenic system, which says that breaking people's hearts is a natural part of sexual development, so that a woman may learn to use her vagina to secure better social, economic and other position.

skim past it. Confession site's for everyone. Forlorn, heartbreak is a confession for those writing it. Get over it.

With respect, i think a number of you are missing the point of this post, one which i happen to agree with. I also get frustrated when i see love sick youth constantly posting their sad quotes... Yes the Confessions site is for everyone, but these are not confessions, they are simply using the site to vent their sadness/anguish, whatever... go away.
@Maybe/Agree Above/easy solution - $100 says you are under 20 and have posted one of these sad accounts yourselves.
@Gentleman Jack - your posts and comments are way to weird and kinda fucked up.

Thank You @jk ! i agree with you. i can recognize those posts too...it pisses me off just because they can type have a phone or computer they can abuse this site. sorting the seeds from the dirt. and wtf is with @Gentleman Jack Ass ?

An admission of heartsickness is not garbage. It's not childish or adolescent. Being heartbroken is an affliction for all ages, not just youth. If a confession makes heartbroken people feel a bit better or gives them a bit of hope that it'll work out (and it damn well might!), then good. The people that give me the creeps are not the heartbroken lovers. It's the people who don't identify with them--the heartless, cynical ones incapable of going deep enough to risk being broken.

Why does a confession of heartache trigger angst in certain individuals?

I agree with the poster - Confessions is simply not the forum for these heart sick comments. These people are looking for a place to voice their sadness (understandably) and confessions is an easy, anonymous platform... but its becoming the most common single post. This cant be said without sounding like a bit of a dick, but yes it's annoying
