I can't stand how people get bummed out that they've been single say 3 months or 6 months and they think it's been ages and that they'll never find anyone. I've been single for 3 years...I'm 35 and it feels like it's not going to end anytime soon...try that suckers. Given up seriously. Has anyone gone that long being single? I don't know that many, if any. Then there are those friends you know who constantly remind you that prior to their marriages who berate you with "before I got together with my husband, I constantly dated, never had a break, never had single time" making you dread even more.

YUP. We're out here. I'm 43, have been single (separated and divorced) for 6 years. I have dated on and off ,but nothing has clicked. I travel, read, take courses, sleep when I want, eat when and what I want and take full advantage of my single-ness, when I can. Yes, I'd loved to have someone to share some of the time and adventures with, but that just doesn't seem to be part of the plan right now. And thats ok. Good luck to you!

I've been single for nearly 3 years. My friend has been single for 5 years.
I saw some woman wrote a book called "My Year Without Sex", all about how she chose to be celibate for a year. As if that's such an amazing sacrifice that she had to write a book about it. As if we care enough to read it.
