got a call back today from the clinic regarding STI tests I had done the other day. Doctor wants to talk to me. I am worried. I've had tests done after every partner (which is only a handful). I am usually very careful and safe. Slipped up the last time. Will go in tomorrow but can hardly calm my nerves 'till then and am running through all the possible bad bugs I might have. Just looking to see if others have gone through this. Basically what it comes down to is... I can't really call my mum looking for comfort.

They probably want to educate you on safe sex., same thing happened to me. Don't worry too much about it, but also learn from this, and no more slip-ups.

if you ask for them they will get the doctor on the phone and give you the results... i didn't have to go in to get mine, and it wasn't awesome news. but very cureable and no more slip ups

I want to know what it was! Please share. Sometimes it can be as minor as low iron or a yeast infection. Hopefully it's no big deal.

it is chlamydia. and now I have to tell my ex to get treated. little or no symptoms is usual so a lot of people who have it have no idea. It was nice not being in touch with the ex. *sigh*. Thank goodness it is treatable. If you have it wash your hands well... you can get it in your eye. Viruses and bacteria will out-live the planet.

Doctors are not permitted to give personal info over the phone because they can't verify who they are speaking to. If your doctor gave test results over the phone they are not following proper protocol, dumbass.

Thanks for sharing and reminding us all that STIs can often go unnoticed which is why it's so important to get tested regularly and use a condom. I hope things go well with your ex.
