Celebrate Make Music Vancouver in Gastown and win a Helijet round-trip for two between Vancouver and Nanaimo

Celebrating its fifth year, Make Music Vancouver returns to Gastown on June 24 with a night of free live music under the neighbourhoods twinkling lights. Performers will bring rock, reggae, dance, and more to Water Street as Metro Vancouverites take their dancing shoes to the street.

It’s the perfect night to stay in the city as close to 100 amateur and professional musicians pop up along the sidewalk. Walk from one performance spot to the next and experience a world of talent in a few short blocks or find a sunny spot on one of Gastown’s patios to take in the sights and sounds. Everything gets underway at 5pm, wrapping up as the sun sets.

Make Music Vancouver is a volunteer-run, grassroots event that showcases and celebrates Vancouver’s incredible cultural and artistic diversity. Organized by Vancouver en Français and the Alliance Française de Vancouver, both non-profit cultural associations, it was inspired by La Fête de la Musique, an event launched in France in 1982, that now takes place each year in over 450 cities around the globe.
