Enter to win a pair of tickets to opening night of maladjusted on March 8 at the Firehall Arts Centre

maladjusted, presented by Theatre for Living (Headlines). Created and performed by mental health patients and caregivers, maladjusted is about the barriers to patient-centered care within our mechanizing mental health care system.

Theatre for Living (Headlines), the company that brought you after homelessness… (2009) and Us and Them (2011) is proud to present their new Forum Theatre play, maladjusted, created and performed by mental health patients and caregivers. This innovative theatre project and concurrent two-day dialogue series will confront the barriers to patient centered care within our mechanizing mental health care system.

maladjusted enables audiences, the mental health community and the general public to transform the theatre into a centre for dialogue, informing policy creation. Theatre for Living has written agreements from various mental health organizations to use the maladjusted project and the resulting Community Action Report to inform their policy development. The Community Action Report will distil the suggestions from the maladjusted project and the interactive forums at each performance of the play into policy proposals that become a true voice of the community living the issues.

maladjusted presented by Theatre for Living (Headlines) is playing at the Firehall Arts Centre March 8 to 24, 2013.  Shows run Tuesday to Sunday at 8 p.m. with a two-for-one preview March 7 and two-for-one matinees on March 13 and 17 at 2 p.m.
