The Faerie Play is a site-specific theatre production for children and families set on the Sharing Farm, an organic farm that grows food for the Food Bank in Terra Nova Park in Richmond.

This enchanting story is about a child who is part of the local theatre school who is stolen by one of the farm's resident fairies and must be found by the rest of the cast (and the audience) before she disappears forever into the fairy world. By joining in and following the trail of the fairies and the other residents of the Sharing Farm, the audience helps to solve the mystery.

Using puppets, children and adult performers, the audience gets to meet voles, owls, vegetables and flowers, among others - just some of the many creatures that inhabit the farm.

The Faerie Play runs from August 5 to 15. Tickets  are available through Brown Paper Tickets. Recommended for children five to 10 and their families.

August 5 and 7 performances are at 6:30 p.m.

August 8 to 15 performances are at 3:30 and 6:30 p.m.
