Making their Vancouver debut, Talea Ensemble will present mainstay composers from its repertoire: Pierluigi Billone, Fausto Romitelli, and Olga Neuwirth, alongside a premiere by young Canadian composer, Stefan Maier*. The centrepiece of the program is Billone’s Ebe und Anders, scored for solo trumpet and trombone with ensemble. With influences ranging from cinematic music to hardcore noise rock, the evening’s program will draw connections between some of the most exciting composers of today.
