Eat well with Nosh's high-quality grab-and-go options

    1 of 1 2 of 1

Newly opened in the old Mistral spot at 2585 West Broadway, Nosh is a casual 28-seat café with some high-quality grab-and-go options. Executive chef John Ly—formerly at North Vancouver’s Pier 7 Restaurant + Bar—prepares dishes sous vide and offers them vacuum-packed, so you can store a bag in your fridge and reheat it by boiling it in water. A serving of short ribs, pork shoulder (rotisserie), or duck confit, for example, costs $9 (or $14 with side orders of root vegetables and greens). Besides eat-in, the café also offers traditional hot takeout meals and specializes in rotisserie chicken; call ahead (604-558-1087) to order other whole roasts.

uh, major correction - the options you refer to as being $9 are in fact $14. not much of a jump though, eh?

I'm thinking the error probably came from seeing the short-rib sandwich at $9.

I'm equally sure that no one was attempting to fool anyone into travelling there under false expectations.

The article has been corrected. Thanks for the catch!

Both $9 and $14 are correct, but they're for different things. According to the restaurant owner, the grab-and-go servings of sous-vide meat are $9. The $14 menu price refers to the take-out option that includes veggies and sides. It's confusing, but I've adjusted the text and hope that's clear now.
