After nearly  three years in operation, Q4 al Centro (780 Richards Street) has closed. Owners Patrick Corsi and Alex B. Tsakumis announced recently that they have shuttered the Italian restaurant in L’Hermitage Hotel to launch a new concept in late September.

On Q4’s website, it appears that the new restaurant will be named Tappo Tapas and Wine Bar. This is unrelated to Toronto’s similarly named Tappo Wine Bar and Restaurant, which is co-owned by former NHL player Shayne Corson.

Tappo’s sister restaurant, Q4 Ristorante by Quattro (2563 West Broadway)—which moved from its original West 4th location to the restaurant space formerly occupied by Lumière and db Bistro Moderne in 2012—remains open.
