People in Vancouver  love their craft beer. They also love pampering their dogs. It was only a matter of time before somebody would put the two together.

On Sunday, September 22 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Viti Wine and Lager will host a beer tasting for dogs at its 900 Seymour Street location.

Before anyone gets too excited, there will be no drunk pooches staggering through the shop's aisles.

The special doggy beer, created by Victoria's Moon Under Water Brewery, is non-alcoholic. According to a news release, the brewery owners created it for their own dog, "who longingly looked up at them whenever they were enjoying a good beer". After the brew they made "was thoroughly enjoyed and quickly lapped up by their furry pal", they went on to produce a small batch for other dog owners in their area.

Viti will also be offering complimentary samples of regular, alcoholic Moon Under Water beer to dog owners.
