Goji berries get local with Gojoy

Did you know that goji berries are grown locally, in Aldergrove?

With an unusual, slightly bitter flavour, the Asian superfood is sold at local stores both fresh in season (from mid-July until about the end of August) and frozen. The berries can be used in smoothies, salads, or chutneys, or steeped with ginger to make tea.

The Gojoy website has recipes and info on where to buy them, such as three Urban Fare locations. Prices for 85 grams of fresh berries run $7 to $9, while frozen berries go for about $15 per kilogram or $9 per half-kilogram.
