Cornucopia starts this Thursday (November 7) in Whistler, and runs over two weekends until November 17. But if you can't make it up to the food and wine festival, a taste of Whistler is coming to Vancouver.

On Wednesday, November 13, Whistler's Bearfoot Bistro is taking over the kitchen of MARKET by Jean-Georges in Vancouver. Acclaimed chef Melissa Craig is making the trek down with her team and will cook a four-course tasting menu.

Bearfoot plans to recreate the look and feel of the Whistler restaurant, changing everything from the front-of-the-house staff to the furniture. Guests can even experience a version of Bearfoot's vodka tasting ice room, as well as the restaurant's Champagne sabreing ritual.

As part of the switcheroo, MARKET by Jean-Georges is also popping up in Whistler. This Saturday (November 9), MARKET's chef de cuisine, Montgomery Lau, will bring his team to Bearfoot Bistro, as well as some of the restaurant's classic dishes and ambiance.

“The plan is to recreate our respective restaurants so that from the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave, you will think you are in a different place," says MARKET restaurant manager David Auer in a news release.

Both chefs will offer a four-course tasting menu, each for $78 per person.

Reservations for the MARKET by Jean-Georges dinner in Whistler are available by calling 604-932-3433 ext. 1. Reservations for the Bearfoot Bistro dinner in Vancouver can be made by calling 604-695-1115 or by booking through Open Table.
