Not only does the new Simons store at Park Royal offer fashion and home décor, but it also has an in-house café that serves a French-Canadian-inspired menu to sate the appetite of hungry shoppers.

Located on the second floor of the store, Ève Café is bright and spacious, mixing mosaic tile décor and orange seats. It also offers views of Lions Gate Bridge and Ambleside Park.

Peter Simons, CEO of the Simons store, said that he was excited to bring fresh ideas and new items to the café.

“We’re trying to work with the artisanal people around the country….The coffee is roasted in Montreal,” said Simons as he showed off the menu.

Featured items include pork bahn mi ($10)--pork shoulder in a sesame marinade with lemon mayo, sliced carrots, and Lebanese cucumbers on a brioche bun--and chicken fricassee ($11)--boneless chicken thighs, bacon, carrots, and assorted veggies mixed in a white wine cream sauce.

One of the decadent treats that Simons brought from Quebec to Vancouver is chocolats favoris ($6). A milk-chocolate fondue with seasonal fruit for dipping, it will undoubtedly captivate the attention of dessert lovers.
