An East Van craft brewery has said it can't honour an offer to buy a beer to young people who vote.

In a statement on Instagram, the company acknowledged that this contravenes the Election Act.

"We apologize for the error, we had no idea that our offer broke the rules," Bomber Brewing said.

However, it advised everyone to "stay tuned after the election for another promotion to make it up to you".
