It was deemed to be the culinary event of the year, and last night’s 50 Years. 50 Chefs. gala certainly lived up to its expectations and more.

Vancouver Community College (VCC) threw a 50th anniversary celebration that brought together successful alumni and dedicated chef instructors. The gala was a fundraiser for the VCC Foundation.

Showcasing their culinary skills and talent, the chefs—who've all made their mark in the Vancouver food scene—indulged guests with spectacular creations.

Free-flowing hors d’oeuvres and delicious eats were paired with wine tastings provided by members of the Naramata Bench Wineries Association.

Live music, dance performances, and a 1965-inspired fashion show and illustration contest were also provided by VCC students, alumni, and faculty.

The gala took place at the Rocky Mountaineer Station (1755 Cottrell Street) near False Creek.
