The brainchild of award-winning pastry chefs and chocolatiers Dominique and Cindy Duby has been ranked as one of the 24 Best Chocolatiers in the World in Georg Bernardini’s Chocolate-The Reference Standard.
Located in Richmond, Wild Sweets was awarded the coveted 6 out of 6 ‘cocoa pods’ in the ranking featured in Bernardini’s newly released book.
The ranking is based on different evaluation criteria, and worthy recipients are given cocoa pods that range from 0 to 6, similar to the ‘stars’ that the Michelin Guide awards to top notch restaurants internationally.
The chocolate resource book reviewed and taste-tested over 550 brands and 4,000 products from 70 countries. Wild Sweets was ranked among a number of notable chocolate luminaries including Pierre Marcolini in Belgium, Patrick Roger in France, and Es Koyama in Japan, to name just a few.
This isn’t the first time the Richmond chocolatiers have received a distinctive award—Wild Sweets was also given the 2015 Best Chocolatiers and Confectionaries in America Award.
