Doritos offers free deliveries of ketchup chip roses for Valentine’s Day

      Yes, you read that right.

Starting today, Doritos is offering Vancouverites the chance to order free bouquets of ketchup-flavoured roses, which will be hand-delivered to recipients on Valentine’s Day.

Each bouquet features a dozen long-stem blooms with petals handcrafted from pieces of Doritos’ limited-edition Ketchup tortilla chips. The drool-worthy flowers aren’t recommended for eating, though lucky recipients can go to town on a snack-size bag of Doritos Ketchup chips that comes with every order.

Due to ridiculous demand, the roses are currently sold out but you can check back for restocks between today and Saturday (February 13), when the complimentary bouquets will be available for orders online.

One small catch: your object of affection (or you, if you’re choosing to treat yo’self) must live within the designated delivery zone. In Vancouver, that’s the area bounded by Denman and Main Streets, and Beach Avenue and Coal Harbour.

Sorry, Doritos lovers outside the downtown core. But if you’re really set on the idea of charming your sweetie with a celebrated Canadian delicacy, there’s a handy DIY guide that teaches you how to craft your own roses.
