Daylight Savings Time is a little over three weeks away, which means you still have an excuse to hightail it home after a long work day to hibernate under the covers until the sun comes out.

It’s also prime time to indulge in your favourite rums and whiskeys before you trade them in for lighter, more patio-ready fare, and this warming, cold-weather-combating cocktail courtesy of Chic Choc mixologist Joshua Groom should do just the trick.

A mix of Quebec-made Chic Choc Spiced Rum, Fernet Branca, maraschino cherry liqueur, and sweet sherry, it may just have you wishing that winter sticks around a little longer.

Lumberjack's Kryptonite

Ingredients:

1 oz Chic Choc Spiced Rum

0.5 oz Fernet Branca

0.5 oz Luxardo Maraschino

0.5 oz medium sherry

1 orange zest

Method:

Load ingredients into mixing bowl. Stir with one scoop of ice. Hawthorne strain over coupe glassware. Garnish with orange zest.
