The popular French pâtisserie known for its selection of beautiful boxed macarons is set to open on Robson Street this spring.

It will be the first location to open in Canada, which will feature an elegant 16-seat tea salon with an exclusive menu of sweet and savoury dishes, according to a new press release.

In addition to its signature macarons, pastry lovers will also find a collection of viennoiseries, teas, jams, and perfumed candles and home fragrances at the Vancouver sweets boutique.

The Ladurée shop and tea salon (1141 Robson Street) will be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.

The Parisian tea room opened its first bakery in 1862 in Paris, and has expanded in nearly 30 countries around the world including New York, London, Hong Kong, and now Vancouver.
