The highly anticipated Ladurée (1141 Robson Street) will finally open its doors in Vancouver this Thursday (March 24) at noon.

Macaron and sweets-lovers in the city have been waiting for this day ever since the French pâtisserie revealed it would be opening its first Canadian location in Vancouver last October.

The pastel-colored shop will pay tribute to 19th century elegance with a Parisian flair and will be decorated with painted angels on the ceiling, and marble-topped gold counters.

Guests will be able to indulge in an exclusive menu of sweet and savoury items in its 16-seat tea salon, featuring Carrara marble-topped cream wooden tables.

The bijou salon will also offer comfortable seating, including lyre back chairs colored in rose and almond green hues, and small floral benches.

A special edition maple syrup macaron will be offered at the shop to celebrate its Canadian opening.

Other opening treats include limited edition Yuko Higuchi macaron gift boxes designed for Easter, which will be available until Monday (March 28).

Ladurée unveiled its Robson storefront earlier this week.

The Parisian tea room first opened in Paris in 1862. It has since expanded to many major cities around the world, including New York, Sydney, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and London.
