Previously known as Cork and Fin, ONO Raw Bar (221 Carrall Street) recently celebrated its official opening night.

The latest addition to Gastown’s food scene features a Japanese-inspired cuisine combined with West Coast fare. Guests will be able to indulge in a variety of appetizers and dishes, as well as fresh fish and sushi at the raw bar.

Start with its KaraageTeba’ 10—fried chicken wings with garlic ginger and soy, before moving on to some raw plates like Hamachi (yellowtail) Carpaccio, or a selection of fresh nigiri.

Owner and restaurateur Francis Regio and the design team at Kalu Interiors managed to rebrand and renovate the space in two weeks.

The traditional space of the previous restaurant has been transformed to a modern atmosphere while maintaining some iconic flare. Glass railings and white tiles, combined with dark espresso woods and red bricks create a sleek and rich interior.
