DinnerPartyYVR: Hobby chefs to host dinners at home for a good cause

Launched in 2013, DinnerPartyYVR is a philanthropic cooking event where local hobby chefs host dinner parties inside their homes to raise funds for charitable organizations.

Presented by Cressey Development Group, the annual event returns to Vancouver on Saturday, April 9—doubling in size this year, there are over 500 people participating around the city.

Guests can choose what kind of cuisine they would like to eat from an online list, and choices range from Indian to Mexican, comfort food to plant-based meals.

Tickets (min. $50) are required to join a hobby chef’s dinner, but larger contributions are encouraged. 100% of proceeds will be donated to the host’s chosen charity.

Diners can also enter to win tickets to a special Cressey Dinner Party—a gourmet meal hosted in Cressey Maddox’s entertainment suite in Downtown Vancouver.

Tickets for meals also include admission to the DinnerPartyYVR after party hosted at MakerLabs (780 East Cordova Street), which will feature local desserts and entertainment.
