East Van’s Bistro Wagon Rouge (1869 Powell Street) now serves lunch from Wednesday through Friday (11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.).

The casual French eatery is an alternative for those who miss hitting up its sister restaurant The Red Wagon (2296 East Hastings Street) for lunch, which has been closed since the end of March for renovations.

Guests will find classic French fare on its menu, including French onion soup, baguette sandwich, mac and cheese, croque-madame, steak frites, omelettes, and more.
