As a presenting sponsor of this year’s Vancouver Craft Beer Week Festival, Donnelly Group is kicking off the lead-up to the fete in style with the launch of its annual VCBW Donnelly Group Passport and a lineup of brew-themed events.

From this Saturday (May 15) to June 15, beer aficionados can stop by Donnelly Group venues to taste-test a number of hard-to-find brews from New Belgium Brewing. For every beer that’s ordered, guests can have a special “passport” stamped, which, once full, can be entered into a draw for a trip to the Tour de Fat—the largest (and craziest) celebration of bikes this side of the Atlantic— in New Belgium’s hometown of Ft. Collins, Colorado.

Guests who fill their passports from front to back also have a chance to score one of five custom New Belgium cruiser bikes. The beer passports can be picked up from any Donnelly Group venue or the Vancouver Craft Beer Week Festival, which takes place from June 3 to 5 at the PNE Fairgrounds.

Prior to Vancouver Craft Beer Week’s three-day finale in June, the Lamplighter Public House (92 Water Street) will be hosting Cider House Rules on June 2, a pop-up outdoor BBQ that will feature sips from 12 B.C. cideries and breweries. Cider will also play a part in the food as chefs prepare slow-cooked, cider can–style chicken. Tickets to the event are $20 and can be purchased online.

This year’s festival will also feature a Donnelly Group Publican’s Quarter, which is designed to bring the feel of Gastown’s Abbott Street to the PNE Fairgrounds. Among the highlights will be a Lamplighter Pub game station and arcade, a pop-up barbershop offering on-the-spot cuts and trims from Barber & Co., and mixologists from Clough Club shaking up an assortment of craft beer cocktails.

Tickets to Vancouver Craft Beer Week Festival start at $35. For more information about the festival or events, or to buy tickets, click here.
