Don’t miss the home-style Korean food at the 13th annual Korean Cultural Heritage Festival, which takes place this Saturday (August 16).

Volunteers from the Korean Cultural Heritage Society will be cooking up healthy fare such as bibimbap (rice topped with a rainbow of veggies, meat, and egg), bulgogi (grilled, marinated beef), barbecued salmon, and naengmyeon (chilled noodles).

Three beer gardens serving Korean Cass and Hite brews, as well as makgeollirice wine, will help keep everyone cool.

The event runs at Swangard Stadium (3883 Imperial Street, Burnaby) from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; see the Korean Festival website.
