Oyama Sausage's annual Cassouletfest

If you’ve ever set out to make a traditional French cassoulet, only to be derailed by a lengthy recipe—soak the beans, make the stew, confit the duck, et cetera—there is an easier way.

From November 20 to 23, Oyama Sausage is holding its annual Cassouletfest, in which it offers the dish ready-made. A portion of the beans that generously feeds two costs $15.99, and you can add on Toulouse sausage, duck confit, and other meat à la carte. Or, for $160 you can get a “cassoulet party” to go that serves 10 people and includes sausages and such.

Order in advance at 604-327-7407 and pick it up at Oyama’s Granville Island Public Market store (1689 Johnston Street).
