Big Lou's Butcher Shop makes a juicy, old-school burger

Despite January’s healthy-eating resolutions, let’s face it: sometimes you just want a nice, juicy burger.

If you’ve got a craving, Big Lou’s Butcher Shop grinds its own B.C. beef for its house-made patties and cooks them to order in a cast-iron pan.

The old-school burgers are topped with American cheese, caramelized onions, and iceberg lettuce, and come with a bag of Miss Vickie’s potato chips.

While they may not be in line with your diet, they’re easy on the budget at just $7.50 for the works. Take out from the 269 Powell Street shop or eat in at one of the few high-top tables.

See Big Lou's Butcher Shop website.
